Zeus

Zeus was my first client.  He was also a FEMA-stamped urban search and rescue dog.  With severe dysplasia in both hips and front elbows he was retired at age 5.  His pain was so bad that his owners had contemplated putting him down.  He continues to receive a treatment session about once a year.

My name is Tami Packham.  I work for Toronto Equine Hospital.  Under Drs. Darryl Bonder and Peter Vatcher, I have seen the results of extracorporeal shockwave therapy on the acute and chronic injuries of thoroughbred racehorses.

Thanks to pioneer Dr. Scott McClure of Iowa State University I became aware of ESWT use on canine osteoarthritis.  My goal here is to provide small animal veterinarians (and their clients) ESWT research, news, and some of the stories at TEH/shockwave.

 

Spondylosis

I recently had the opportunity to shockwave an 11 year old dog - Hayley - diagnosed with spondylosis by Dr. Richard Johnson.  Dr. Johnson's practice is located in Binbrook, Ontario and  I highly recommend him.  Tamara Botting of the local paper did a wonderful writeup.
